Trent Franks is the representative for Arizona’s 8th congressional district and has been serving in Congress since 2003. Rep. Franks regularly joins other anti-Muslim members in Congress repeating outlandish claims made by key players in the Islamophobia network.
In 2008, Rep. Franks endorsed Clarion Project's film, "The Third Jihad: Radical Islam's Vision for America.
In 2009, Rep. Franks joined Republican Reps. John Shadegg (AZ), Paul Broun (GA), and Sue Myrick (NC) in calling for an investigation of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, alleging that CAIR is trying to plant “spies” in congressional offices.
In 2013, Rep. Franks spoke at David Horowitz’s Restoration Weekend, an annual elite conference in Palm Beach, Florida, discussing the "enemy of freedom: Islam."
