Founder of ACT! for America

Brigitte Gabriel founded ACT! for America in 2007 as a citizen action network to "inform, educate, and mobilize Americans regarding the multiple threats of radical Islam." ACT! for America was crafted with the intention of replicating the success of the National Rifle Association as a single-issue group that could drive legislation, political races, and the national discourse. But instead of pushing gun rights, Gabriel's group hopes to make fear of Islam a pillar of the Republican Party and a galvanizing force in politics.

Called a "radical Islamophobe" in The New York Times, Gabriel travels the country giving talks about how she endured persecution in Lebanon as a Christian at the hands of radical Muslim terrorists. Every “practicing Muslim who believes in the teaching of the Quran… cannot be a loyal citizen to the United States of America,” says Gabriel

She says Americans must unite to "defeat radical Islam" and explains that any tolerance toward the religion will allow for the destruction of western society.

After the attack on the French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo, in an appearance on “The Steve Malzberg Show,” Gabriel said “those who are telling you Islam means peace are lying to you. Islam means submission.” She went further to say the attacks by extremists were Europe’s fault for “ignor[ing] the Islamic cancer of terrorism and radicalism rising within its midst for the last 30 or 40 years. … Europe could’ve dealt with the problem very early on in the 80s when the Islamists began organizing, especially after they brought in their family members … started multiplying … started using the government’s welfare system to basically grow their families.”
